The Internet Merchants Association (IMA) held their second annual conference March 2-5, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV. With double the attendance from the previous year, the convention was both exciting and fast paced. The presentations ranged from the basics to the advanced and gave attendees insight into the future of E-Commerce. "Most of the members came to the conference with specific needs for their businesses and I think we did a good job addressing those various needs with our diverse presentations, and topics. I believe our members came away with new knowledge that will help them in the operation of their businesses - whether it be by growing or by gaining efficiency," stated Kim Wren, IMA Events Committee Chairperson.
This leading industry conference was presented in conjunction with the ASD/AMD Variety Merchandise Show, the ASD/AMD Gift Expo and the ASD/AMD Jewelry Show. Many sellers took advantage of the sourcing available at the show which started on March 1st.
Companies presenting and providing educational sessions included Google, eBay, Amazon, Infopia, Orange Soda, ChannelAdvisor, Endicia, Paypal, QL2, Talk Market, Vendio and many more. Energy, ideas, innovation and excitement filled the air each day as more and more information was presented. Search engine optimization, website design, Google Adwords and video marketing were just a few of the multitude of the topics covered. Presentations on changes in eBay and PayPal and even selling on Amazon were very well received and attendees of the various presentations came away with the knowledge and tools needed to enhance their etail business.
